About DoJ
The Department of Justice is an executive department, headed by the United States Attorney General. Tasked with enforcing impartial rule of law, the Department conducts federal prosecutions through its United States Attorney's Offices distributed throughout the country.
Before a court of law, the Department represents the interests of the federal government. But the DoJ is also equipped to handle a variety of civil rights actions, including those against state law enforcement officers for the deprivation of civil rights.
Our Mission

-
Transparent Policymaking: The DoJ knows to present its content, decisions and policies in a digestible, accessible manner.
-
Accountable Litigation: The Department strives to nurture its employees into self-sufficient, independent litigators. Its employees are expected to exceed the ethical norms of candor, upholding the integrity of the legal profession.
-
Engaging the Legal Community: By working for mechanisms like the return of grand juries and organizing mock trials, we strive to share the fun connected with litigating in nUSA.
